If there’s one factor that really stands out in Zurich during my go to last September, that would have to be the (many) public baths and outdoor swimming pools. I never expected to see such a thriving public and urban bathing tradition in Switzerland. The baths and pools have been everywhere! It co-starred Simon Oakland, who chances are you’ll recall performed much harried newspaper editor Tony Vincenzo on Kolchak; The Evening Stalker sequence with Darrin McGavin which was another nice 70’s present that did not final so long as it ought to have! Since I arrived this winter, I’ve gone purchasing quite a lot of instances, mostly just for groceries, that are relatively easy to buy. While it’s best for me, a not-very-good Russian speaker/listener/reader, to buy at a grocery store with open aisles and shelving-thus no one ready whereas I attempt to decipher if I am buying shampoo, conditioner, gel, or something else (it is easier than Japan for me, at the very least I can read the letters of cyrillic). Dish soap or laundry cleaning soap or dishwasher cleaning soap (my flat in 2017 has machines for laundry laundry and dishes!).
